| Beginning in the 2010-2011 season, he will serve as music director of Washington National Opera and the Kennedy Center Opera House Orchestra. As the new music director of the Orchestre Philharmonique de Nice, Mr. Auguin has immediately undertaken programming of the finest works, including Stravinsky’s Firebird, Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 and Bartók's Opus 12.
